DBA MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

A DBA Membership gives you access to the following DBA sponsored annual events and marketing opportunities.

BEER/WINE/LIQUOR WALKS

The Walks are designed to accomplish three functions. First, they are fun events for the community. Second, if used correctly, will provide downtown businesses/DBA Members low-cost marketing. The Walks drive approximately 500-1000 community members into the downtown corridor and into each participating business. There are very few marketing channels that can compete with $200.00/yr. The results may not be in the moment, however continued visibility and word of mouth will provide results overtime. Third, fundraising for the DBA’s community event, Snowflake Festival.

GHOST TOUR

These brief historical presentations are designed to bring community members into the downtown area. They are enjoyable and area relevant entertainment. In 2023 there were six days of shows with each bringing approximately 80 persons per show. The participants walk to different venues and are offered presentations, food and drink. Knowing when these are and maximizing your businesses’ open time and offerings may again offer valuable marketing.

SNOWFLAKE FESTIVAL (SFF) AND COOKIE CRAWL

SFF/Cookie Crawl is designed to show holiday spirit and enliven the downtown area, bringing individuals and families into the downtown corridor. This is a giving event, not a fundraiser for the DBA, although we do try and minimize costs or offset costs through sponsorship. There are different aspects to the event: the parade of lights, which is for holiday fun; the festival with activities and vendors; and the Cookie Crawl, which is similar to the Walks minus the alcohol. There are 20 spots open for Member Businesses, each stop is provided with cookies to hand out to families who have purchased a bag. Cookie Crawl is designed as a marketing tool to get community members into each of the participating businesses.
