Thank you for your interest in the Elko DBA Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors is the policy making body of the Elko DBA and serves as an advisory board. Members of the Board represent a broad cross-section of the business and professional leadership of the Downtown Elko Business Community.

This is a one-year commitment and a three-year commitment for the Vice-President. Each director is important to the Board. The time-commitment of a director cannot be taken lightly (approx. 8 hours per month).

Before running for election, a candidate should consider the minimum responsibilities.

These include:

1. Attendance and participation at the annual planning retreat to develop goals for the coming year in January.

2. Attend each regular or special Board meeting. Regular Board meetings are held first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 am. Twice a year, attend a Membership Meeting.

3. Attend at least 50% of all Elko DBA sponsored events.

4. Attend special events to promote the Elko DBA and the Downtown Area.

5. Assist in Elko DBA fund-raising activities.

6. Serve on at least one committee of your choice, or as may be requested by the Chairman of the Board.

7. Perform such duties as may be requested from time to time by the Chairman of the Board and/or Board of Directors.
